History repeats itself. It's a popular theme in literature and to a
certain extent does happen in real life. Also by creating
parallels, it gives the reader a point of reference in understanding
the characters. In fact, Rowling used this to her advantage in the
first four books, because many people inferred that the Mauraders
where simply the trio+ of their generation, only to have that
perception distorted by OotP.
