Question about James

Hi y'all,

I have a question that I haven't been able to find an answes to, and
was wondering if somebody could give me either an answer or a place to
check (other than the Lexicon, which I have checked).

Do we know or have any idea if James' family was one of the pure
blooded wizard families? I know that there's been almost no reference
to them in the books, but I've been considering some things, and was
wondering if there was a consensus about this. And so far have found
nothing to indicate one way or the other. Am I missing something?
