Thanks, I try to write well thought out posts, although, mostly I
think them out as I write them (too much time on my hands).

Well, regarding the wrappers, I'm not sure at the moment. As I said, I
know these gum wrapper means something, but I don't really have a clue
what it might be.

As far as your theory, sorry but I don't personally think the gum
wrapper are part of the main Harry/Voldemort plot. I think they are
part of a subplot that deals primarily with Neville, and the part he
will play in the story. I also think book 5 is too soon to introduce
the gum wrappers if they are not going to come into play until book 7
when Voldemort is defeated. 

My instinct at the moment, tells me that the wrappers are a clue to
helping the Longbottoms recover. Or it could just be some little
detail JKR threw in to drive us nuts; she certain is succeeding.

Just a thought.
