Yes it the bone of the Father that is required in the spell rather 
then LV choise.  But I wanted to point out that I'm not sure LV is 
that particular about using a male body to regenerate into.  After 
all he was happy to use Ginny in CoS.

But he wasn't going to use Ginny's body. Her "life force," in essence, was fueling the regeneration of his OWN body. The gender of the person used doesn't seem to matter much in that case.
