While I don't believe the idea at all I have to say - you're wrong. There
could be almost an entire year between Severus and Lily's birth and they'd
still be in the same school year. It's a little unlikely but as long as the
mother was pregnant again within three months of giving birth (and since we
don't know anything about wizarding medicine regarding pregnancies I don't
know how possible that is) the children could be in the same year. i.e. if
the older child is born in September the mother would need to be pregnant by
the end of November - leading to an August birth (assuming I've done the
maths correctly), both children would then be in the same school year - as
with Hermione (September birthday) and Harry (July 31st)
