Carol:
I like your three steps, which would apply to the Imperius Curse as
well. As for Harry having the power to use them at some point, I'm
sure he will--all the more reason not to use them unless he wants to
become another Voldemort. He needs to emphasize the differences
between himself and Tom Riddle, not the similarities. The best thing
that could happen to Harry would be to lose all the powers that came
to him from Voldemort and be left with those he inherited from his
parents--transfiguration, charms, and flying/quidditch.
