Two small questions about this chapter

1.  "Harry's eyes met Ron's. He knew Ron was thinking exactly what he
 was: if he could have chosen any members of the DA, in addition to  
himself, Ron and Hermione, to join him in the attempt to rescue   
Sirius, he would not have picked Ginny, Neville or Luna."
  So who would they pick from the DA if they needed some help.

2.  I'm pretty sure Hagrid said that he was saving Thestrals for 
their OWL year.  I take that means that fourth years wouldn't have 
gone over them, so why do Ginny and Luna know so much and act like 
they had gone over them with Hagrid.
