That seems somewhat attractive to me - I can actually see that 
happening, maybe as an expression of the "business-as-usual" 
attitude that was fairly well known during the Blitz.

The Vauxhall area was bombed - and I think I can see a patriotic 
newsagent deliberately printing up those diaries as a kind of 
statement - despite the bombing, we're still here. Despite the 
bombing, we will remain here.
