Up until a few months ago, Myrtle did set my teeth on edge.  But then 
it hit me while I was sitting watching The Second Celluloid Thing 
Which Must Not be Named how bad she really has it.

Exactly.  I think I'm not alone when I say no amount of money on 
earth could make me return to my adolescene for any extended period.  
Like Myrtle, I got a lot of grief from other kids, and on occasion I 
reacted the way she does.  To be stuck in that stage forever?  That's 
my punishment in the next world if I don't behave myself in this one.
Not only that, she died in the public restroom.  I don't know about 
you, but I consider that one of the most undignified places to meet 
one's maker.
So yes, I will admit I kind of feel sorry for Moaning Myrtle.  In 
those circumstances, I'd probably end up the same way.
