What I Love About the HP Book Series

These last few days of posting show what I love - that the characters (and 
their actions) can be interpreted in so many ways!  I, for one, love Snape 
with a fiery passion, but the things that I love about Snape can make someone 
else hate him.  Example: Shrieking Shack Snape.  Love it!  I don't know why, 
I just do.  I'm a strange, strange girl *g*.  So, in my new attempt to keep 
list peace (by starting non-confrontational threads) as I defend Snape to the 
death (either his or mine, whichever comes first *g*): what is it about the 
series that makes you keep reading?
