(Me: I love that question!)

Grey Wolf also astutely commented (quoting QTTA) that the snitch may
be caught *only* by the Seeker, else it is Snitchnip.

Me: Thank you for looking that up, Grey Wolf. It put me out of
my "oooh, I know there's something...." misery.

I got an amusing mental picture of someone "helping" an injured/dead
seeker catch the snitch. Suppose Cho and Harry were both
killed/injured and it was a deciding game that neither captain wanted
to end in a draw? (side question-would it end in a draw or with the
score at the time of the agreement? Total points matter, you know!)

Could, say, Fred continue as beater whilst George flew around with
Harry on his broomstick chasing the snitch, but having Harry catch it
ala tree-frog?

Or could one of the remaining 6 players change positions and "report
in as an eligible receiver" as in American football, thus abandoning
their previous position?

Perhaps this is covered in one of those 700 rules of which we know so
few.
Thoughts?

Ginger, who would love a good sports discussion now that her beloved
American football is over for another season.
