Seeing as we are playing around with definitions of evil, I would like to
submit mine. I once saw a movie about the Nuremburg trials and there is a
scene between the psycholigist who evaluated the captured Nazis and the
prosecuter. The psychiatrist said that of all the horrible and good things
people (even the same person) are capable of the one thread he found of true
evil is lack of empathy. I want to further clarify the difference between
empathy and sympathy. With sympathy you feel bad for the person and their
situation, with empathy you put yourself IN that person's position to feel
how they feel. For me, I think that is the best situation I have heard.

So now I ask, are there any instances in canon where Draco DOES show
empathy? The train certainly wasn't one.
