So Harry's been taken away by Hagrid (first person to ever defend
Harry).

Ron&his brothers -- (first friend and those who helped him with the
trunk)

Uncontrolled magic blowing up Aunt Marge, leaving out by himself,
taken to Diagon Alley by Knight Bus... (All by himself, really)

Sirius' existence keeping Dursleys in check, and Weasleys picking
Harry up.. Only this time it's Ron's dad in charge.

It might be Sirius...
Snape _might_ have been at the scene where Harry fought back
Voldemort - using Time Turner and Invisibility Cloak. He slows down
the death eaters (How'd Harry keep eye-contact while _running_ away?)
AND captures Pettigrew. (That would help Snape and Sirius to improve
their relationship). If Snape goes to insist with that-- the mortal
enemy of Sirius Black bringing out Peter Pettigrew and telling them
it wasn't Sirius doing the 13-Muggle-kill -- well, it just *would* do
the trick - more so with Snape than anyone else.

So Sirius comes out to tell Harry the good news... Only that he was
so _busy_ at it that he doesn't have his wand yet... and no more
fetching Harry by anyone...

OR- Hermione's parents.
I mean really, if Ron's dad can pick up Harry with Floo Powder (No do
with a _closed_ fireplace now) how come Hermione's dad can't pick up
Harry with an ordinary Muggle car? Harry expected a car in fourth
book (First Ford Anglia, and from Diagon Alley, a Ministry Car) And
they could all go to Weasley's later...
While it's taken a bit of magic to get Harry out for now, it was
least needed in GoF - not with 'I'll write to my godfather Sirius'.
Harry can remind them of Sirius and go off with Mr Granger who just
might have something to say of Dursleys' teeth... (Eating sour grape
isn't all that good on your teeth!)
