Hello! I've had this thought for a while, but am just now getting
around to posting it. There's been much discussion about who's going
to die in OoP. My primary thought is that Hagrid will die and come
back as a ghost. My understanding about a wizard becoming a ghost is
that he/she dies in unhappy circumstances. So here's my theory:
Hagrid & Madame Maxime go to find the giants and persuade them to
help in the fight against Voldemort. I think that the giants won't
be too cooperative, and eventually a fight will occur. Madame Maxime
ends up getting killed, and Hagrid tries to kill the giant who killed
her. Lo and behold, who else is it but Fridwulfa--his own mother!!
Not recognizing her (she left him when he was 3), he's about to kill
her when she tells him that she's his mother. He backs off in
amazement, but being the cruel, heartless giantess that she is,
Fridwulfa kills him anyway! Thus, the unhappy circumstance at death,
and Hagrid will now come back as a ghost for future books.
Just my thoughts. Let me know what you think!
Kayla
