Just an interesting expansion on the Quidditch games.
At every Gryffindor game the entire school appears to be in
attendance. We hear of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw cheering loudly for
Gryffindor and against Slytherin. Even at Gryffindor games that aren't
against Slytherin, the whole student body seems to be there.
Now to the problem, we never hear of Gryffindor's attending anyone
else's games. We never hear of Ron coming back from the
Ravenclaw/Slytherin game. We hear about the results, but it seems to
be a statement of 'data' rather than a personal account. You would
think that some of these references to other games would be presented
in the 'first person' (if that's the correct term), presented as an
actual eye-witness account of the event. Or even some casual mention
of people discussing the other games. Certainly some Gryffindor's
would be likely to go to Slytherin games to check out the competition.
Harry would have been interested in whether Draco really was a
competent Seeker, but it's never mentioned.
Don't know what it means or what it's worth, but it's something to
think about.
