Hullo, all. Caroline here, delurking after many months.

Me: I think that's really interesting. Actually, I'm very glad to
see it. One thing a lot of people have trouble agreeing with me on
is Lily's connection to Slytherin, needed, IMHO, for the alchemical
equation. Your explanation sort of sidesteps that, by linking the
unicorn symbol to a known Slytherin, and I like.

(Am still a firm believer in Lily's connection to Slytherin, and all
the Ginny-Lily parallels that follow, though. Just for the record :-)

But
 - *knows she is getting waaay into out-there territory here* -
I don't *entirely* believe that Voldemort tried to AK Harry that
night. I mean
whose word for it do we have? Crouch-as-Moody. Less
than trustworthy, IMO. It's possible, I think, that Voldemort was
trying to suck out Harry's power in some way, rather than doing a
plain old killing curse.

Now *that's* interesting too. I've thought about that - that maybe
some sort of redemption might be an accidental effect of Voldemort's
alchemical tinkerings - but I haven't come up with any specific
theories.

Caroline, bouncing to see stoned!Harry around again
