I don't think that this is necessarily true.  She never says, or even 
indicates that she doesn't expect to be killed.  The only indication 
that maybe he wasn't going to kill her was that he asked her to step 
aside so that he could kill her son - and her response to this was 
simply to refuse to move.  

Why would he ask her to move if he was going to be killing her 
anyway?  It's not like Harry was going anywhere.

The only reason would be if he wanted to show her before killing her 
the dire cost of an allegiance to "the good side", but I don't know 
if he'd care enough about her opinion to bother.
