Hermione's Wand

Kibi questioned whether there was any significance to that no one 
knows what Hermione's wand is made of.

I don't think so.  I think that J.K. has just not had a reason so far 
to tell as what her wand is made of.  The only reason we know, for 
example, what Ron's wand is made of is because he broke his first one.

In fact, I think if what Hermione's wand is made of were important in 
J.K.'s mind she probably would have made a point of telling us what 
it is made of already.
