everyone please be kind. I know that we all assume that Dumbledore
is a great guy but do we really know that much about him. I was
watching a movie on King Arthur and they said some stuff on how he
was concieved and decided to look more of it up and here is a little
bit of what I found:

"After his death, Ambrosius was succeeded by his brother, Uther, who,
during his pursuit of Gorlois and his irresistable wife, Ygerna
(Igraine or Eigr in some texts), back to their lands in Cornwall, was
aided by *Merlin*. As a result of a deception made possible by
*Merlin's* powers, Uther was transformed into the image of Gorlois.
He entered their castle, managed to fool Ygraine into thinking he was
her husband, had his way with her and in the course of things,
conceived a child, Arthur. Poor Gorlois, not knowing what was going
on, went out to meet Uther in combat, but instead, was slain by
Uther's troops."

Now I know that I'm somewhat in left field, but JKR did say that
things aren't always what they seem. But my question is it possible
that Dumbledore has his own agenda?
Please be nice with the postings.
Rona

Kathryn: I went to Encarta.com and read what they have about Merlin, and it gave me an idea, but I don't understand what you're getting at? What do you think is really going on with Dumbledore?

Me again:

I think that the order of merlin in which Dumbledore belongs should be questioned, because if Merlin was a bad wizard who is to say that like the Slytherian house the Order doesn't produce nothing but *bad* wizards. Futhermore, why in the world would Pettigrew a person Jame, Lupin, and Siruis trust betray them if they were friends, because he had his own agenda. Just a thought. I was think of what JKR said how Harry will have to choose between what is easy and what is right.(<--paraphrasing) I didn't want to start confusion but I was really trying to see maybe if JKR would maybe throw a loop on us. Anything is possible.
