         Sushi butts in:

         I don't agree with this interpretation myself.  The Elixir was 
stated to be able to prolong life, but no mention was ever made of it 
bringing someone back to life.  I would actually be more likely to believe 
unicorn blood might be used in this situation.  True, you've got the curse 
to deal with (I'm half convinced it's a neurotoxin of some sort), but it's 
been stated that it will bring someone back to life when nothing else 
can.  To borrow from The Princess Bride, if Harry were to end up *mostly* 
dead, unicorn blood would have about the same effect as a miracle 
pill.  ("The chocolate coating helps it go down easier.")  Use of unicorn 
blood would also give an ironic parallel between Harry and Voldemort.  Who 
knows?  It may even somehow balance out the use of Harry's blood in 
Voldemort's resurrection formula.  Yeah, Harry would be cursed for the rest 
of his life, but it is a theatre of war and I suspect that would be counted 
as an "acceptable loss".
