Having two professional parents is a pretty strong indicator here, 
too.  Being called Hermione is another, IMO.  It's not yer average 
Sarf Landan name.  Going to France for a vacation is mildly 
indicative.

Now I come to think of it, we *do* have a character (possibly two) 
who IIRC uses questions as part of his normal pattern of speech: 
Stan Shunpike (I will try and check).  Hermione is worlds 
away: 'I 'ad me teef fixed by that Madam Pomfrey, dinnoi?' isn't her.

Hermione may well be a Londoner, but she's not that sort of 
Londoner, IMO.  She is not so much rootless as traceless in her 
origins.

I suppose I ought to take comments on movie!Hermione to the movie 
list.
