Was Harry specifically conceived to destroy Voldemort?

The possibility exists that Harry was not the unwitting downfall of
LV but that he was actually conceived and raised with that destiny.
This might explain the close relationship between the Potters and
Dumbledore. If one has ever read Orson Scott Card's
"Ender's Game", this theory might seem familiar. A child
was sired specifically to save his world due to attributes his
parents were able to pass on to him. So, consider:
James and Lily Potter are descendents of powerful individuals that
may give their child an edge over LV. (Many have wondered whether
James is the heir of Gryffindor and Lily a relative of LV) When
LV's reign of terror intensifies and shows signs of destroying
the
WW, Dumbledore comes to Lily and James and proposes a plan to defeat
LV. Perhaps this involves a combination of heredity passed to Harry
and special Dumbledore magic. The Potters agree and Harry is the
result. It might seem cruel to conceive a child like this, but
consider that without Harry, the WW and the Muggle world were likely
doomed to chaos and evil from LV and the Death Eaters.
Harry is born and LV senses the threat for whatever reason. As was
mentioned in PoA by Lupin, LV had been after the Potters for over a
year before the encounter in Godric's Hollow. Perhaps, LV's
goal was more than just the Potter parents. As others have
suggested, LV may have thought that if he took out Harry while Harry
was still young then LV would still be safe. This was a
miscalculation and LV was almost destroyed. Harry's youth might
have
kept the damage from resulting in the total destruction of LV. This
also would explain why LV wanted at least James dead. Without the
heir of Gryffindor, no more heirs could be conceived. It also
explains why he might have not card about whether Lily died once
James is dead. He might have even wanted to spare her if there is
some family connection between the two.
This expanding understanding of events that one doesn't think need an
explanation seems like something that would work for JKR. Just a
thought...
