I don't know.  I think there is so much about Ginny that we are unaware of.  
She kind of drifted off into the background after year two but JKR has told us 
that she plays a much bigger part in book five- it might not be as Harry's 
love interest (I know they are 15, but it still seems a bit early for him, you 
know?) but we are going to see a lot more of her and what might make her 
attractive to Harry eventually.  Do you think JKR would have Ginny pining 
after Harry for years without him ever returning the feeling?  I would hope 
not; why would she even bother with the "crush" plot to begin with?

Then again, another female in the mix would be interesting.  I read somewhere 
the new DADA teacher will be a woman, which would be a bit of a change and be 
interesting in the plot.
