Me:
I couldn't find it either, but here are some things that I did find out for
sure about Book 5, and some things about subjects we have discussed here,
Ron's cousins, whether or not wizard children have to go to school before the
age of 11, where James and Lily got their money.
Houston Chronicle conference call (March 24, 2001)
Will the fifth book be based on a major event or will it get back to
Quidditch games and magic lessons?
- "Normal life is kind of reviewed. Magic lessons will be back, but as usual
there is a lot more going on than that."
AOL Chat (October 19, 2000)
What did James and Lily Potter do when they were alive?
- "Well, I can't go into too much detail, because you're going to find out in
future books. But James inherited plenty of money, so he didn't need a
well-paid profession."
Scholastic chat (October 6, 2000)
Do wizards and witches have to go Muggle school before they go to Hogwarts?
- "No, they don't have to."
How does the Dark Lord affect American wizards and witches?
- "He affects everyone, but his plan is European domination first."
You said Ron's cousin was taken out of Book 4, and you developed Rita Skeeter
more after that. Do you still think that it would have been more fun to keep
her? Can you tell me anything about what she was going to be like?
- "Well, maybe I will use her in another book, so I don't want to talk about
her too much."
