Well as usual, the answer is 'nobody knows', but we've never let that
stop us before, so here I go.... I can fantasize a solution to any
problem you can point out, I might be full of cow cookies (meadow
muffins, road apples), but I can come up with a solution none the less.
In this case, I could say that when the curse rebounded, it rebounded
back into the wand as well as rebounding against Voldemort. From there
is is a matter of simple arithmetic; plus one and minus one equals
ZERO. With respect to Prior Incantatum, the rebounding spell nullified
itself. Makes sense to me.
On the other hand, we already know that JKR made one mistake in this
passage, so it's conceivable that she also made a mistake with the
missing rebounded spell. Her thoughts at the time were focused on
people who Voldemort cursed, and the fact that, in a sense, Voldemort
cursed himself, didn't occur to her as she was writting.
