Did Tom go to school with James?

This is my first message to the group, but I'd like to say I've really enjoyed reading your messages over the last week or so. I think my HP knowledge is slowly expanding. :o)

I have a question about the books and maybe it's answered within them but I have never spotted it, or maybe JKR has answered it elsewhere and I don't know about it. Sorry in advance if this has been asked before... 

My question is kind of in the title (sorry if it's vague though) we know James, Lupin, Sirius, Peter and Severus were all at school at the same time, we also know Hagrid and Tom were at school together. Does anyone know when Lucius was at school? I wondered if he went to school at the same time as Tom? Also were Tom and Hagrid at school at the same time as James and co? Or are we to assume they're older than the others? Does anyone have any answers?
