Where I live (Israel) we have a system similar to the O/A-Level system
in which a standardized, nation-wide test is given in every subject at
the end of the school year, and the grades you get in those tests are
used for university application. You're expected to complete a certain
number of these matriculation exams, in a variety of subjects and
levels of difficulty. There are some subjects that every student has to
be tested in, at least at the most basic level, subjects including Bible.
The reason I'm mentioning this is that every year, Israel hosts the
International Bible Quiz. The winner, if they are Israeli, automatically
receives a grade of 100 on his or her Bible exam, which only makes sense
because if they know enough to win the Bible Quiz they could ace the
exam in their sleep (just for some perspective, I wouldn't even make the
qualifying round of the Bible Quiz, and I got a 96 in my Bible exam). I'm
wondering if the same might not apply to the TWT/NEWT situation.
Presumably, anyone qualified to be a Triwizard champion could ace his
NEWTs - after all, the NEWTS test wizarding skills, and so do the TWT tasks.
What if the champions who were due to take their NEWTs in the year of
the TWT got automatic high marks?
