Chris:
<<I don't think that Fudge would dare to sack dumbledore, no matter how he feels. DD got hundreads of letters about hagrid when Skeeter told 'lies' about him, telling him not to sack him. No matter how -beep - fudge is at DD, I don't think he'll try to sack him. However, interference such as dementers, appointing the teachers and some other choices could all be done without much protest.<<

I don't think Fudge *can* Dumbledore. Hogwarts is run by school governors who are, apparently, the ones who decide whether or not to sack the Headmaster. Remember, in CoS Fudge did not want Dumbledore to leave, yet he had to let it go because the governors decided to fire him. He, of course, could manipulate them into firing Dumbledore, but I somehow doubt it.

I think the word 'sacked' might be mentioned in the same context as it was mentioned in CoS: "Or maybe he'd been sacked!" - says Ron about Snape when he doesn't see him at the Sorting Ceremony (BTW - was anyone else disappointed that that scene wasn't in the movie?).

But ultimately it all depends on who composed that teaser card. If it was JKR herself, then all the words are meaningful, and 'sacked' is too. I wouldn't be surprised if a major character like Dumbledore got sacked. If, however, the card was compiled by someone other than JKR, the words could be of no consequence, really.

My favourite theory is 'Arthur Weasley gets sacked for working against Fudge.' It's veeery plausible.
