I agree with Amy completely. These kids are teenagers! Has anybody known or raised any teenager who you haven't wanted to strangle at times? It's part of being a teenager! As far as the adults, again, these people (except it seems Dumbledore) are not perfect! They have their preculiarities, faults and failings like every one of us. Now as far as somebody like Snape, his shortcomings like shown in 'The Prisioner of Azkaban' is so strong that his hatreds and anger can blind him to reason and rationality. But even he obviously has his good points or Dumbledore wouldn't be depending on him so much. So there is a danger of analyzing everything where every speck gets blown out of porportion. Kind of a fun thing to do though I must say.
