- since Riddle was the last heir to Slytherin (canon is in CS - but
the statement there could be false), maybe Harry is reciprocally the
last heir to Godric Gryffindor? A nice light vs. dark showdown to come :-) 


Ahh...this has been brought up a few times. I remember someone (sorry, I 
can't recall who ^^;) pointed out a quote Dumbledore said from CoS-'Only a 
true Gryffindor could've pulled the sword out of the hat'. Could LITTERALLY 
mean a true Gryffindor (as in someone desended from him).
