PoA Ch. 19:  

"You should have realized," said Lupin quietly, "if Voldemort didn't 
kill you, we would.  Good-bye, Peter."

It always seemed to me that this line has more significance than it 
seems at first.  That may or may not be true, but it still sends 
shivers up my spine every time I read it.
