There's a thought... I wonder if we will see him again in book 5 (or
later)as a reformed character, doing his old job in some sort of
League but with a new enthusiasm and some genuine skill maybe. I don't
think JK would have had him there only ever as light relief, though I
could be wrong. Most of her characters are relevant in some way we
don't appreciate when we see them first from a narrative pioint of
view. This does not, however, cancel out my thoughts on DD and
Lockhart, since at the time he was a twit.
