I agree and I don't believe it either. After all, the attitudes above are 
those of Voldemort, the Malfoys, and the Death Eaters. If their attitudes 
are vindicated by being adopted by the Good Guys, then the whole buildup of 
good vs. evil which is at the heart of the books has been a sham -- to quote 
Snape, "I see no difference."

(By the way, this clear description of the opposition strengthens my belief 
that if Fudge isn't evil yet, he will be. He seems to be following points 2 
and 3 already, and it's probably going to get worse in Book 5.)
