Good point. He makes a show of bestowing the silver arm to Wormtail as if he
is showing some kind of mercy/love/concern in front of the DEs- yet before
they arrive he allows Wormtail to writhe in pain bleeding to death on the
ground....
If he had said, 'I left this servant to die' the DEs might just think that
Voldie would leave them to die as well... that they are expendable.
So maybe Quirrell is alive...
The sad part is that he was a frightened and a bit dodgy to begin with, so he
would have to be in St. Mungos, wouldn't he? I dare say he wouldn't have the
capacity to handle the course of events after his possession.
