just me or does the phoenix have great signifigance

This may have been addressed but I can't help but think that the fact 
that the core of voldamort and harry's wands are both phoenix 
feathers are supposed to have come from fawks. 
So could this also be a clue to a connection between Dumbledore, 
Harry, and Voldamort. 
Are there any thoughts, or does anyone know where this subject has 
already been addressed??
