My main question from OOP is this:

If Sirius says that all pureblood families are related somewhere
along the line - then why doesn't he mention the Potters??

We are told time and time again that Lily was muggle-born but that
James wasn't. If Sirius goes to all the trouble of telling Harry
about his distant connections to the Weasleys, why wouldn't he
mention Harry's own family?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? It's been troubling me ever
since I read the tapestry scene.
