I can't remember if JK said this or if it was in a book, but I'm sure
I read that conjured items disappear after a while. For instance,
Bill (maybe Charlie) conjured tablecloths out of thin air in GoF...
but it doesn't really matter if tablecloths vanish, now does it?
I also have read the (very appropriate) explanation that since the WW
is commercial like the MW, the conjuring of everything would wreck
the market.
It really doesn't make much sense to me, though, why Lupin couldn't
make his robes <i>look</i> new, etc.
