Am lurker, but like so many others feel the need to talk about this 
book!!  I was especially interested in Neville's place in the 
prophecy.  It made me view his "accidents" and/or "mishaps" from 
previous books in a new light.  I had always assumed that his SS/PS 
fall from what appeared to be a jinxed broomstick during flying 
lessons solely as a plot device to set up the confrontation between 
Draco and Harry, leading to the revelation that Harry was a brilliant 
flyer and should be seeker for Gryffindor.  Now I am wondering if it 
was not a deliberate act of sabatoge by Quirrell/LV in order to cover 
all bases.  After all, Quirrell was a professor and was this not his 
chosen form of trying to do away with Harry at his first Quidditch 
match?
