Am lurker, but like so many others feel the need to talk about this
book!! I was especially interested in Neville's place in the
prophecy. It made me view his "accidents" and/or "mishaps" from
previous books in a new light. I had always assumed that his SS/PS
fall from what appeared to be a jinxed broomstick during flying
lessons solely as a plot device to set up the confrontation between
Draco and Harry, leading to the revelation that Harry was a brilliant
flyer and should be seeker for Gryffindor. Now I am wondering if it
was not a deliberate act of sabatoge by Quirrell/LV in order to cover
all bases. After all, Quirrell was a professor and was this not his
chosen form of trying to do away with Harry at his first Quidditch
match?
