I have hopes for Neville too.  Having to get a new wand may be a big 
help, and not only because his father's isn't suited to him. I wonder 
what kind of psychological implications using his father's wand has 
had on Neville.  Maybe his gran talked about his father in such 
glowing terms Neville never felt worthy to be using his wand and this 
affected his spellcasting.
