Me:
Great theory--Voldy has continuously underestimated,
forgotten, or not known about the very facts which prove to be his
downfall... take a look...

Pre-SS/PS--Voldy forgot the "ancient magic" that Lily's sacrifice
would protect Harry, thus losing his power and "marking Harry as his
equal"

SS/PS--Underestimated the protection that had previously torn him
form his own body, killing Quirrell and losing his chance at the
Sorcerer's Stone

COS--Tom Riddle underestimated Fawkes and the Sorting Hat... both
were instrumental in Harry's success

GOF--Voldy all-around underestimated Harry here, didn't he? I doubt
he knew about Harry's wand being the brother to his own, and i doubt
he knew about the Priori Incantatem efftect, either.

OOP--Underestimating Harry again... he's a bit slow, isn't he?

Are we getting a pattern here, or is it just me? Voldy's over-
confident streak has bitten him in the a** every time he has
encountered Harry. Dumbledore's "gleam" may just be a recognition
that, this time, Voldy's really undone himself. And then the
immediate reversion back to tired and old is because he knows that
Harry is still going to have to deal with some major bad stuff.
