And call me crazy, but I think there is a specific reason why DD
keeps Snape out of the DADA job. It does seem like there is a "curse"
of sorts when it comes to the position (though one might argue that
DD's choices played an integral part...). I can't put my finger on
it, but the books mention it too specifically for it to be one of
DD's whims.

In the Webcast from the Royal Albert Hall, Rowling said that Dumbledore knows it would be a mistake to let Snape have the Dark Arts job. She said that Dumbledore said "well let's see how you do with potions for now." She also said that we shouldn't feel too sorry for Snape. She couldn't say anymore without giving away a "major part of the plot".

My theory is Snape and the debate over whether he is good or evil is yet another major plotline for the last two books. Maybe Snape will also have to choose between what is right and what is easy?

Thoughts anyone?

Fred looked around at the assembled students, at the silent, watchful crowd.
'It anyone fancies buying a Portable Swamp, as demonstrated upstairs, come to number ninety-three, Diagon Alley - Weasley' Wizarding Wheezes,' he said in a loud voice. 'Our new premises!'
'Special discounts to Hogwarts students who swear they're going to use our products to get rid of this old bat,' added George, pointing at Professor Umbridge.
