Indeed, but what I'm wondering about is how much self-determination 
is implied by a memory or shade that is created for one purpose, but 
then can change its goals?
Which is why I thought it more likely that the creator (Voldie) would 
be more likely to alter the memory-Tom's goals than Ginnie. But to do 
this, there must be a link between memory-Tom and Lord V. 
Otherwise, one could spawn a world of memory-selves that would 
continue to function semi-automatically. I don't think that's what 
JKR is intending.
