[HPforGrownups] OOP: Ron and the Mirror of Erised

It occurred to me that in SS, when Ron looks into the Mirror of
Erised, he sees himself as head boy & I believe, holding the
Quidditch Cup. At the time it seemed preposterous, but suddenly in
OOP he's a prefect & is carrying the Quidditch Cup at the end of the
Grawp chapter. By book 7, who's to say he won't be head boy?
Does this suggest that what Harry saw in the Mirror, his family
around him, won't happen as well? I feel he may sacrifice himself at
the end of book 7 to "save the world", but end up getting his family
back, which is what he's always wanted most.

Excellent observation!! Perhaps the "veil" can somehow be crossed to bring
back his family?
Or would Harry himself have to cross the veil to be with them?
