May be Neville's lack of self confidence made the Sorting Hat wonder 
(for a moment) if he was brave enough to be a Gryffindor.  Which we 
now knew indeed he was.  I can't wait to see how Neville, with his 
new found courage and self confidence would react to Snape.  

Sometimes I wish I had the Sorting Hat's instinct :-)
