She has to have Harry realise his father was a human being with 
faults just like everyone else. Harry is growing up and it's part of 
the process to realise your parents' flaws and imperfections. It 
would all be too sugary if he didn't realise that.

What I would like is to know more - much more - about Lily. Whereas 
James is getting a lot of attention in the books, Lily hardly has a 
personality of her own at all. The pensieve scene is the first time 
we get to know she actually is a separate person from James - or 
Harry. So far she has been nothing but "Harry's dead mum, end of 
story".
