Ginny's broom (OoP)

This has been bugging me and I haven't seen anyone address it.  Yes, 
I have read ALL the posts!

Where did Ginny get her broom?  Ron waited until he had a good broom 
to try out.  So how did Ginny manage?

It wasn't Ron's old one.  His Shooting Star was often outstripped by 
passing butterflies.

It wasn't Fred, George or Harry's.  They were locked up.

I doubt she wrote home and asked for one.

It is doubtful that it was a school broom.  We have heard how bad 
those were.  She managed to beat Cho, who rides a Comet 260 (I wanted 
to find out if that was a good broom or not, but the local Minimart 
doesn't carry Which Broomstick).

Possible theory:  Michael's.  He did get upset when Gryffindor beat 
Ravenclaw.  It sounds childish not to be happy for your girlfriend, 
but if she beat your house on *your broom* there might be a bit of 
sulking involved.

Any theories?
