Snape called Lily something along the line too...we will see if later
on a Snape/Lily ship is confirmed in the canon. ;)

showing affection. If there was any real like there, you'd think JK
would have inserted some incident in the past five books that showed
Draco being protective or otherwise passing up the opportunity to
insult her, but that just does not happen. I've seen lots of posts on
the possibility of Draco liking Hermione, but I'm afraid it's wishful
thinking!

Notice that everyone read the book differently. What you see as a
reference may be just another bluff in other's eyes.

(The following is not pointing at you, Scot, please don't feel
offended...)

It is very interesting that everytime someone brought up this topic,
a lot of people would stamp a big "NO" right away, as if this idea
alone is a plague that would pollute others' innocent mind. Relax,
Draco/Hermione might be unconventional, but as a ship, along with all
other ships it deserves to be at least respected as a possibility,
even it is a unlikely one. (Seriously, if that really happens, what
are all the innocent people going to do? Burn the book?)
