That's hardly the way to strengten your case, by comparing how Draco treats
Hermione to how Snape treated Lily, considering that there isn't one shred of
canon to support Snape-Lily.
So, we have wishful thinking being used to support more wishful thinking.
The question I would have is wouldn't you expect MORE out of Hermione and
Lily? From time to time, there is griping about the lack of strong female
characters.
Why take two of the strongest and make them love people who hate the very
blood that runs through their veins?
I will lose all respect for Hermione if she gives Draco the time of day.

Uh-huh, and maybe Crabbe secretly loves Hermione too. After all, he
snickered at Draco's taunts. C'mon, let's start a Crabbe-Hermione ship.

Actually, I have called for a burning if Draco-Hermione ever happens. I even
had a list of people who were bringing different things to my burning party.
Can I count on you to bring the marshmallows?
Draco is, so far, an evil little kid. Granted, he has been trained to be that way
by his dad, but evil is evil. His only redeeming feature thus far has been that
he is too incompetent to do any real damage.
And where is it said that one theory has to be respected more than others?
There are canon references that show Ron and Hermione have a mutual
interest. There are canon references that show Ginny-Harry, Harry-Hermione
and now Luna-Ron.
Those ships are by far going to get better treatment than Draco-Hermione. I
refuse to treat them as equals because one has canon support and another
has wishful thinking mixed with filling in gaps in canon.
