<<Is it just me, or is there something to the fact that the tin of
ginger newts is mentioned several times? At least twice, she offers
the cookies to Harry and one other time they are knocked from her
desk onto the floor. Usually, cookies wouldn't attract my attention,
but I've learned from JKR that little things like this (mentioned
several times) usually mean something more...I kept looking for the
more as the book went on - but I found nothing. Anyone have any
ideas?>>

I noticed the same thing and have been picking my brain about it. And WHY did McGonagall practically force him to eat the cookies? Whenever anybody suggests that Kreacher was poisoning people I immediately think about McGonagall forcing these cookies on harry...

Another question I have...in OoP, US edition, page 388 Hermione says, "Well...it's just that Dobby's plans aren't always that safe. Don't you remember when he lost you all the bones in your arm?" Am I misaken in thinking that this wasn't directly Dobby's fault, but Lockheart's? I realize that Dobby did bewitch the bludger, but is it really fair to blame him for the missing bones? (I admit that I could just be missing something...please correct me if I am wrong!)

Also, moderators...I remember there being a rule that we should try to combine as much as we can into one post. I am getting WAAAY too many posts by certain individuals every day. If this rule does, in fact, exist, will you please post it? I really don't want to get seperate emails telling me someone's opinion on every single post.

Thanks!!

ADMIN Note: We do encourage people to combine posts, especially if your point is only a line or two or you're replying to several people posting on the same topic.

With list volume as high as it is right now, we strongly suggest Digest Mode or web view rather than individual emails
