You're right..sorta. It's not just anger. At least not according to 
Bellatrix Lestrange (and she would know). The only way to get an 
Unforgiveable to work is that "You have to mean them! You need to 
really want to cause pain--to enjoy it..."

So while I think anger does play a part in it, it's more than that. 
It's...well I suppose you could call it evilness, for lack of a 
better word. To use the Avada Kedavra ( ::: shudders ::: )as an 
example. It's one thing to just want to kill someone,its a whole 
nother thing to enjoy murder.
